buddhaimages strive to capture the magic of the east, creating pictures that embrace
either
the opulent luxury of ancient eastern culture, or bringing a modern,
minimalist approach to the subject.
Our interest with the buddha image came with our trips to China, we find the east an inspiring place to photograph, meeting the people left us with a deep respect for their religious beliefs and we hope our work reflects this.
Our work varies from cityscapes of Hong Kong and Bangkok, candid shots of life in Shanghai, Beijing and small Chinese towns such as Wuzhen and Hangzhou, to intimate studies of buddha statues. We are delighted to be invited back to the cornerHouse, Tolworth. Our exhibition runs from 2nd June until 30th June, with a gala evening on the opening night, Wednesday the 2nd. If you're in the area please drop in (between 7-9pm) we are exhibiting a range of photographs depicting Chinese street lifestyles & iconic religious images. There will be complementary drink & nibbles awaiting you.
